What Makes Dojo Different
Built Around Collaboration
DOJO brings local musicians and touring artists together to make music. It’s a place where Boulder-area players can spend time with working musicians on the road — listening, jamming, and recording in real time.
Local performers can form their own groups, sharpen their skills, and grow into strong backing bands capable of supporting touring artists throughout the Denver and Boulder area.

Initiatives

Collaborations with Visiting Artists
DOJO connects touring musicians with the right rhythm sections for upcoming shows. Artists can rehearse with DOJO players, spend time working through material, and record music as needed while they’re here.

Project & Set Development
We support the full life of a project — writing songs, rehearsing, and preparing for live performance. Music developed at DOJO is archived so it can be shared with booking contacts and revisited for future shows or recording sessions.

HOW COLLABORATIONS HAPPEN
Flows
Flows are structured jam sessions used to try ideas, feel out musical chemistry, and get everyone on the same page before working toward a show or recording.
Projects
Projects develop those ideas into complete sets that are rehearsed, recorded, and prepared for performance or release.
Collaborations
Collaborations bring everything together. Visiting artists join forces with DOJO rhythm sections to create performances, recordings, and events that reflect a shared artistic vision.
